I’m Alyson Barnes, the Owner and Broker of LocAL Realty Montgomery. I’m also the Owner and Broker of Fountain City Properties, a property management company- though my true passion has always been helping families buy and sell homes with integrity, excellence, and a different approach to real estate.
I didn’t grow up with money or connections in real estate. Everything I’ve built has come from hard work, faith, long hours, and a deep belief that your starting point doesn’t determine your future. When I moved to the Prattville/Montgomery area in 2013 with the military, I was starting fresh -learning a new community, building relationships from the ground up, and figuring out how to create a better life for my family.
The military shaped who I am in ways I’ll always carry with me-discipline, resilience, integrity, and a commitment to serve others before myself. Those values followed me straight into real estate, where I quickly realized that this industry desperately needed more honesty, education, and people who genuinely put clients first.
I worked my way up from the ground level, learning every side of the business, navigating challenges, and building a career that has now spanned over a decade. I earned my degree in Psychology, which allows me to guide clients through not just the transaction- but the emotional decisions that come with buying and selling homes.
Today, I’m a proud wife, a mom of three, a business owner, and part of a hardworking farm and rodeo family. We run a produce stand and farm store in Prattville, care for our animals, and live a life rooted in faith, family, and community. Everything I do-in business and in life-is about changing generations, building something better for my children, and helping others do the same.
